The Right Swimming Stroke for Lumbar Injury Individual

The Right Swimming Stroke for Lumber Spine Injury Individual

All the lumbar injured patients are requested to do more swimming to strengthen their lumbar muscles. However, the doctors are not informed or teach the patient the right swimming stroke for the strengthening exercises.

I as the certified Lifeguard swimming instructor, swimming coach and also the patient who suffer the lumbar spine injury, to share you the right way to swim in the process strengthening the lumbar muscles.

All patient that injured lumbar in chronic stage should avoid performing kicking during the swimming process. And this means the patient is only allowed to swim with both hands, however, the stroke is front crawl pulling (in other words, freestyle swim but without the kicking legs).

Patient should have one Clamp board slideboard Freestyle swimming training float board to support the legs while performing the front crawl pulling. By consistently performing the front crawl, the upper body will move forward and drag the legs during the swimming. This will provide continuous decompression on the spine's disc which will relieve the pain on the injury and at the same time strengthen the core muscles on the abs and lumbar mucles.

Patient should only focus on strengthening the muscles of upper body through the front crawl pulling. These will result in strengthening the body core muscles.

The question comes, why can't swim breaststroke? Some of the patients who doing breaststroke to strengthening the core muscles are end-up injure further and cause more pain? Why?

When swimming with breaststroke, the body will have multiple intervals compressing on the spine especially the patient surface up to take the breath. Therefore, the compression from the breaststroke will incur unwanted pressure on the spine's disc and cause further damage.

Herniated disc recover testimony

"I was beginning to experience intermittent discomfort in my back in 2015 after injured my back during moving house.
The discomfort in my back and left leg were intermittent.
Until last year end of Sept 2017, volunteered to assist in company's charity event (loading and unloading heavy goods), my back from discomfort turned to PAIN for weeks.
One morning in October, when I bend my down to pick up keys to work, I heard a loud sound from my back bone. Then I knew something was really wrong.
Following that was an ever increasing numbness in my left thigh and pain.

I went for orthopedic specialist, x-ray, and MRI. MRI indicates I had a budging disc touching a nerve on L4/L5 and slip disc on L5/S1. The specialist prescribed me with multiple pain killers, anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-inflammation patches, and visit physiotherapist weekly. I also do the daily physiotherapy exercise at home, however my condition did not improve very much, I still get back to in office as usual.
The specialist recommended me for surgery. During the physiotherapy sessions, I am discussing with the therapist regarding the possible outcomes of the spine surgery and they honestly tell me there are failure cases seen.

In the beginning month of December, I couldn't walk and was BED RIDDEN.
I then went for a second specialist for opinion and the conclusion is the same, I was asked to undergo spine surgery to recover.
My families members strongly disagree to undergo surgery as the risk is too high. The specialist doctor provided me medical leaves for bed rest for 2 months to think about it.
I felt depressed and angry and felt hopeless during the bed rest at home. I keep praying to God for my condition on every moment and keep looking for alternative way to heal.

Then I recall my friend Dr. Michael Lim who previously suffered a disc prolapsed and I called him up for his opinion.
He recommended me to try his uniquely ONCE only stem cell treatment instead of undergoing the high risk surgery.
I went for the stem cell treatment 2 days after Christmas.
Two hours later after the procedure, I felt my back's left side muscle is icy cold and right side muscle is warm. I immediately had my dinner and sleep to give myself for full rest.
On the 4th day of treatment after treatment I was able to wake up from bed easier than before. I still continue daily physiotherapy exercise to strengthen my core muscles.
A month later in end of Jan 2018, I went for booster treatment, and that time I am able to walk slowly and follow colleague’s car to work.
In the month of March 2018, I was unfortunately involved in car accident, the car from behind is unable to stop in time.
My back injury took a toll on it and is a setback, it took me another 2 months get recover back to the state before accident.
In the month of May 2018, I able to drive myself back to work with wearing back support corset.
In June 2018, I had another ACCIDENT in the toilet, the floor was slippery and I slip and fall down, it had twisted my back.
It took me 1 month to get back to the state before the incident. Since then I took even more extra precaution in my daily routines and postures.
In the month of September 2018, I am able to drive myself to work WITHOUT wearing any support for my back and I am walking normally now.
I am grateful to Dr. Michael Lim for introducing me the stem cell treatment, it has helped me avoid the high risk surgery and recover in a natural self-healing way.

I highly recommend to anyone with back problems, and/or herniated, bulging, or sciatic nerve problems to go for Dr.Michael Lim's stem cell treatment which is uniquely effective as the replacement of surgery."
